A new month is upon us. It’s June, and it’s time for the June 2020 update to the IYR Network sites.
We have been hard at work on the new updates to our websites – the whole network is getting a revamp! It’s starting with our new menus & headers, consistent across the network, but with a color palette for each site. This update, the June 2020 Update, is the 2nd major update to the IYR Network and itsyourradio platform for 2020, as we hit the 6th month of the year. Can you honestly believe we’re in June already?!? Neither can we. But hey, that means new updates & new features for our users, so we all have to be a little excited about that.
Our main site (itsyourradio) will continue to have it’s vertical menu bar, and our subsites will all have the same top menu system, but we’ve made it infinitely easier to login to your account (or see that you’re logged in and be able to log out), as well as easier to navigate the IYR Network.
First, we’ll tell you how simple it is to navigate across network sites….
It’s legitimately that simple — just look for the arrows.
On each of the IYR Network sites, including the main site, to navigate between the network sites, you’ll just have to look for the arrows. There’s a little orange button on all our sites now, which when you find it, it’ll bounce a little to let you know “hey, click me” – and you’ll be greeted with a new menu for navigating our core websites.

When you click these arrows, you’ll see the next level of magic in our new fluid “desktop experience” design. On the main site, a menu will slide out featuring all the other IYR Network websites, and on the subsites, a menu will slide down with a link back to itsyourradio, the other network sites, and our social media.

Next, as you’ll see in the photo above, all the way to the right, is an Account menu. This will take you to where you need to login or register for either your Standard IYR Account or your IYR Artists/Agencies Account. It’s pretty straightforward and simple. And when you’re logged in, it’ll change, to an icon showing your profile photo for your account (uploaded to the network when you register) that happily lets you know you’re logged into our network sites. Mouse over it, and it’ll tell you your username, user role and give you an easy option to log out of the network.

We’re making a lot of amazing changes to make the network more fluid and easier to navigate and to make IYR Network accounts more efficient, as well as making it easier to register and take advantage of the features offered to users of our network! The menus have officially rolled out on our main public-facing websites (itsyourradio, IYR Artists, IYR Archive and here on IYR Newsroom) as of this morning. This being the first major change of the new month and the first part of the June 2020 update rollout.
Our next updates will be cosmetic changes to the individual pages on each network site, a re-organization of the pages on the main IYR website, as well as changes to our chat room and other interaction options. These changes will roll out over the next two weeks, but will not affect usability of the core features of any of our websites. As always, if there is maintenance that requires pulling the sites offline for a short period of time, we post these updates on our Twitter (@itsyourradio) – if you don’t follow us there, you should. It’s the quickest way for us to shoot out maintenance posts (as we did when we were preparing to roll out these new menus) – and we appreciate your support, here on our sites and on all of our social media outlets.
Remember, a Standard IYR Network Account or an IYR Artists/Agencies Account grants you access to all the amazing features of itsyourradio, including the ability to interact by chat or comments across our sites. We will be adding new features in a later update – we’ve been looking into the logistics (and reaching out to the #artists community on Twitter) to see if opening up a blogging platform for artists would be of interest, and when the results of our research come in, we will make the decision about launching this feature. As always, if there’s a feature you’d like to see, or you’d like to host shows/podcasts, or be a part of bettering the network, please reach out to us. We’re always looking for people to become a part of itsyourradio and the IYR Network.
